Weighted Crunch Up
The Weighted Crunch Up is a great exercise for the stomach (abdominal muscle group), and has no particular equipment requirements.
What you need for the Weighted Crunch Up
- A weight plate
- An exercise mat
Instructions for the Weighted Crunch Up
- Lie on the floor (or exercise mat) with both legs and both arms pointed upwards.
- Flex the waist to raise the upper body off of the floor.
- Return to original position.
- Repeat.
Comments on the Weighted Crunch Up
During this exercise, your hips may move slightly. The Weighted Crunch Up can be done with or without weight, and the weight can be adjusted. Note that doing the Weighted Crunch Up won't affect just your abdominal area in terms of excess fat. This exercise is a good, low-impact way to exercise the abdominal muscles.
