The Weighted Incline Crunch is a great exercise for the stomach (abdominal muscle group), and requires an incline bench.
What you need for the Weighted Incline Crunch
- An incline bench
- Weights, if desired
Instructions for the Weighted Incline Crunch
- Lay down on the incline bench, with your head lower than your feet
- Hook both feet under a foot brace
- Hold a weight plate on your chest with both hands, arms crossed.
- Raise upper body by flexing the waist.
- Return to original position.
- Repeat.
Comments on the Weighted Incline Crunch
The Weighted Incline Crunch can be done with or without weight, and the weight can be adjusted. Note that doing the Weighted Incline Crunch will affect your entire body in terms of fat-reduction, not just the abdominal area. This exercise is a good, low-impact way to exercise the abdominal muscles.
