The Weighted Jack-knife Sit-up is a great exercise for the stomach (abdominal muscle group), and requires no particular equipment.
What you need for the Weighted Jack-knife Sit-up
- Weight plate, if desired
- Exercise Mat
Instructions for the Weighted Jack-knife Sit-up
- Sit down on the exercise mat, placing weight between your ankles.
- Lie flat.
- Raise knees and upper body at the same time until the knees and hips are fully flexed.
- Return to original position.
- Repeat.

The Weighted Jack-knife Sit-up can be done with or without weight, and the weight can be adjusted to increase resistance. Note that doing the Weighted Jack-knife Sit-up will affect your entire body in terms of fat-reduction, not just the abdominal area. This exercise is a good, low-impact way to exercise the abdominal muscles.
